Shed Updates

Yep, it's here. I didn't think I would be that excited about a shed. But it's going to be my own little sanctuary and I can't wait to get it decorated! I've had a tough few weeks health wise, so this has been a good little pick-me-up. So, here it is!

Firstly, we had to get a base built, since our garden is on so much of a slope. Once that was built (took 2 days!) the shed arrived. Accordingly it was a nightmare to get into our garden, but it was up in a day and I absolutely love it. As you can see, the outside is a nice natural green colour with cream trims and doors. It also has 2 windows on the right hand side so that'll let in a lot of extra sunlight! The roof is felted and the whole shed is insulated, keeping me nice & warm in winter. The electrician has come today to put in my two double sockets and overhead lighting, and the plasterer is coming tomorrow. Once that's all done and dry it's painting time! I'll do another post on the painting, but I'm hoping to use Annie Sloan's antique white chalk paint to do the floors, and sand it down to look distressed. Then, the walls will be a warm but pale neutral cream/peach colour. Perfect.

Here's some of the things I've got to go inside, some of which are early birthday presents!

Books and notice board from Homebase & Tesco

Day bed, desk & light up kettle (a must...)all from B&M

Quilt, pillows & throw from Primark. Calander & coasters from The Card Factory. Clock from BHS. Jars from TKMaxx.

I reckon once I get everything in there will be obvious things I'm missing. I still need a storage unit & a tea tray for definite. We'll see what else crops up!

If you've got any ideas or want any information on anything get in touch! I will do a proper tour around when it's all decorated, maybe my first ever vlog.
