2019


  • Foodbank donation & helper

  • New project, 'Sponsor A Stay' launched. Secured funding for 5 carers and 5 disabled people to have a week's fully paid respite at Calvert Trust. It included activities, food and accommodation. It was definitely one of the highlights of the year!

  • Chronic Illness Christmas Party - I hired out a private cinema and invited chronically ill people in the North East to join. A fantastic event and one I would love to run again!

  • Fundraised and made up 50 gifts (mindfulness colouring books, sketch pads and pencils) for children and young people staying in Ferndene mental health unit over Christmas and 2 wards at St George's adult inpatient mental health unit. 

2016

  • Decorated cakes for a MacMillan bake sale at Boots in Stocksfield (0.5h)
  • Mad March Mare! I helped sell buffs and at the end teamed up with the Metro Radio lads to get hosed down in freezing temperatures. So much fun! (3h) 
  • Helped with face painting at the Teddy Bears Picnic for Prudhoe Community Arts Week  (2.5h)
  • Challenge Northumberland offered for me to do some more volunteering with them. This event in summer was called Clarty Bairns which was an outdoor assault course for the family. It was very muddy but I really enjoyed seeing everyone finish! 
  • Project Parent is forever getting bigger! See more here (105.5h)
  • Nominated (and won!) 'Most Inspirational Project' of the year by 02ThinkBig. It's been a dream to get nominated for an award but to win one was absolutely incredible. My parents traveled to London to collect the award on behalf of me and I got an amazing write up in the paper about my achievements
  • Sold raffle tickets at Josie's Dragonfly Ball 
  • Helped out at LifeSpan's ball and sold Christmas cards at a community event
  • Made up gift boxes for inpatients at the St Georges Psychiatric Impatient Unit for Christmas
  • Sorted out 100 raffle prizes for Calvert Trust's ball

2015

  • An hours meeting with Healthwatch, helping them improve mental health services in Northumberland.
  • 3h volunteering at the Calvert Trust Christmas Event where I sold £100 of raffle tickets.
  • 3h making up 20 gift bags for patients in my local psychiatric unit.
  • Helped apply for funding for the NEDC, 2h.
  • Grant from o2 for £2,500 to continue Project Parent on a much larger scale. Then, throughout the year, I also managed to raise £1,261.06 to continue to project in 2016. I spent 73h on this - it's a lot of work! 
  • I got nominated (by my mum, aw!) for my first ever award. It was a Halifax award. I didn't win, but it felt amazing to be appreciated.

2014

  • I became a mentor for vInspired and spent 22h on residentials, visiting campaigns and supporting my local leaders. 
  • Move It Studios set up as a community enterprise. I did a weeks voluntary teaching and helped out at the sponsored walk, totalling 18h.
  • Molly & I did the Great North Run (again), spending 6h running & fundraising £175. 
  • I got a £300 to start up Project Parent, which gives gift boxes to parents of children in hospital over Christmas. 
  • Brooke & I did an indoor skydive, raising £425 for ME North East. 10h. 

2013

  • I was a Team V Leader. During the year I volunteered for 59 hours for them. I did 3 of my own campaigns; recycling, domestic abuse & migration. 
  • I volunteered for Josie's Dragonfly Trust, helping create craft boxes for local hospitals and completing the Great North Run. In total, I spent 20h volunteering and raised £539.54. 
  • I sang at a care home for an hour with our local theatre group, Dragontale.
  • I created my own project giving crafts boxes to young people with ME and was given a £500 grant by vInspired to carry this out. I spent 21h doing this and it was such an enjoyable project.
  • I spent 2h hand making a bear for a Severely Affected ME patient.
  • Zipwire for AYME raising £681.36. 

2012

  • Nativity sets out of FIMO and sold them with all profits going to Minsteracres Church. I raised £25 and spent 3h volunteering
  • 30 mins on a 'help from home' task through vInspired.
  • Tiny Lives poster for a friend who was selling bracelets for the charity. This took 1.5 h.
  • 62 letters to all the PostPals, and even though it took me 5 hours, it was one of the most rewarding things I've done.
  • An hour at an MENE meet up and painted nails, raising £5.
  • An hour creating a poster for Team Tubey.
  • Raffle for CDHUK, raising £60 and volunteering for 3h.
  • 3h in Boots, MetroCentre, and raised £16.20 for Children In Need.
  • 5h making phone charms, raising £18.50 for AYME.
  • Raised £88.60 making necklaces to raise money for Action For ME, adding 25h to my volunteering total. 
  • An hour doing the Sport Relief Mile. 

2011

  • I completed 1,500h of voluntary teaching assisting with my old dance school based in Hexham
